“Project Green” is a placeholder name for the development of an upscale resort on a large-than-usual island in the Maldives. The resort is to be operated by an international hotel operator yet to be appointed.

The brief called for a 160 pool villas resort flanked by extensive facilities including an arrival jetty and yacht dock, lobby & library building, 4 restaurants (2 over water), a spa (over water), fitness center, water sport & dive center, kids club, 3 main swimming pools, beach bars, etc. Facilities also include near 500 staff accommodations, back-of-house and comprehensive infrastructure to operate the island autonomously and sustainably. S+A was responsible for the feasibility study and masterplanning to support the developer’s business plan.
