Due to high patient volume, this building originally designed by S+A in 1989 needed circulation improvements. The extension primarily adds escalators distributing the first 8 floors of the building that houses diagnosis activities. The extension also accommodates a bridge to the skywalk, effectively connecting the building the skytrain system.
