The British Council Library in Yangon has been in operation for decades and is a well-respected institution in Myanmar. It is located in the British Embassy compound on Strand Road, in a heritage building.

The refurbishment adapts the current premises to the Council’s new global standard for libraries, offering flexible spaces for users of all ages while improving safety and security aspects to the premises.
